Sir, - Now that our politicians are returning from gadding about the globe for St Patrick's Day, I look forward to seeing the fruits of their labours any day now.
In view of the problems faced by those seeking asylum here, perhaps next year our representatives might consider visiting the countries from which these people are fleeing, say Romania, Latvia or Nigeria. it might then impinge on their collective psyche, if not conscience, why such people want to build a life for themselves in this country. Or is this too much to hope for?
