Planning and towering ambition

 

Sir, – The contention (April 6th) that the recent decision to refuse planning permission for the Tara Street tower makes no economic sense in the context of the housing crisis and the need to build more houses where people want to live is most bizarre, given that the proposal comprised offices, a hotel and a rooftop restaurant, but no housing. – Yours, etc,
