Sir, – Pilita Clark, in her article "52 books a year? How to be a super reader"(Business, January 10th) advocates an interesting approach to works of non-fiction. Quoting US author Peter Bregman, she suggests "confining oneself to the table of contents, the introduction and conclusion, and a few pages of each chapter".
You can, in my experience, get through such works even faster if you just look at the pictures. – Yours, etc,
