Sir, – I wish I could say I was surprised to hear that yet again the Government has decided to delay the much-needed Metro link. Once again, the north county gets the short end of the stick. It continues to be an international embarrassment that the airport has no rail link. When I moved to Swords, 14 years ago, it was promised for a mere five years hence. Since then, Swords has grown massively and the public bus takes a glacial age to get into town. By the time the Metro actually is delivered, I’ll be safely ensconced in my self-driving car and never need to bother with public transport. – Yours, etc,
