Madam, – John Kennedy (July 13th) and others before him, have written of the unfair disenfranchisement of the people of Dublin South and Waterford, regarding the delaying of the byelections in these constituencies.
Could I ask that everyone calms down and “gets a life”?
As a resident of Dublin South, I cannot say that I have noticed any diminution in the quality of my life as a result of this disenfranchisement.
If, as a resident, I feel the need to consult a politician, I still have four other TDs and numerous councillors to choose from.

In fact, it begs the question as to why is there a need for another TD? Why not have a recruitment ban on TDs? We could simply not replace them as they leave. – Yours, etc,
