Madam, – That was a superb weekend of metrical compositions complemented by Seamus Heaney performing his works with a wonderful voice. Mr Heaney is so generous to share the celebration of his 70th birthday with everybody.
We had the added pleasure of a blackbird wooing in the early hours of the morning and chuckling later in the undergrowth of a modest suburbia garden. “It’s you, blackbird, I love”. – Yours, etc,
