Sir, - I am sure that Archbishop Walton Empey will have drawn great consolation and comfort from the beatititudes in Holy Scripture. I refer to the one that reads "Blessed are you when people abuse you and speak all kinds of calumny against you on my account, rejoice and be glad for your reward will be great in Heaven."

On the other hand, his "greater" Catholic opposite does not seem to draw any comfort from the beatitudes, preferring to nurse and complain of the grudges that he personally holds against Trinity College. I am sure that Cardinal Connell regularly prays the Lord's Prayer. ". . . Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those . . ." One wonders what meaning it can have for him.

I am convinced that Cardinal Connell and I do not believe in the same Christ. - Yours, etc.,
