Madam, - Maurice Craig, (July 14th) refers to "Dublin Corporation furtively changing its name to Dublin City Council". It of course did no such thing. That change, as with several other useless interventions, arose from the diktat of the Minister for the Environment and Local Government via the Local Government Act of 2001. - Yours etc.,
