Sir, - On behalf of The Bram Stoker Society, I would like to congratulate An Post for its decision to issue a special stamp on the occasion of the centenary of Stoker's novel Dracula. Since 1997 is also the 150th anniversary of his birth (in 1847), we plan to celebrate both these events.
On April 15th there will be a Bram Stoker Memorial Lecture, given by Prof Nial Osborough of UCD Law School, on the subject of "The Return to Whitby", in the Arts Building, TCD at 8 pm. The Dublin Writers' Museum will have a special exhibition of Stoker materials from June-July, based on donations by Leslie Shepard, chairman of the Bram Stoker Society.
