Sir, – I refer to your correspondent’s letter (November 2nd) regarding the cost of our postage stamps. What concerns me most is that these exorbitant postage stamp prices will affect the sales of the Christmas cards in the shops each year for various charities.

It looks like An Post is slowly bringing us down the road taken by Denmark in discontinuing letter post altogether. Perish the thought – Yours, etc,
