Sir, – I see the Dublin taskforce recommendations for upgrading the city centre are to be considered by Cabinet (News, October 15th). One of the 10 proposals is for an interdepartmental delivery group to be set up to ensure implementation of the plan.
Yet the Minister for Housing in the same Government isn’t willing to set up a similar delivery agency, as recommended earlier this year by the Housing Commission in the teeth of a national housing crisis.
Time for the Taoiseach to knock heads together to ensure national housing delivery is treated with the same urgency as Dublin city centre’s public realm problems. – Yours, etc,
