Sir, – Uisce Éireann increased it bonuses to staff by 17 per cent in 2023 to over €10 million. This in a company where 350 of the staff are paid between €100,000 and €200,000 a year. A company that currently loses 40 per cent of its product through leaks (625 million litres a day) and issues boil-water notices almost on a weekly basis.
It seems being flaithiúlach with taxpayers’ money isn’t confined to the OPW. – Yours, etc,
