Sir, – RTÉ has told the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) that it will not supply documents regarding the financial exit package given to its former top earners (“RTÉ pay controversy: PAC seeking legal advice over missing documents”, News, September 22nd).
A simple response might focus the mind of Kevin Bakhurst. The Government should not supply any more financial support to RTÉ. This is called “rebuilding trust”. – Yours, etc,

Are they checking the hinges on the stable door with the horse long since departed?
But seriously, to have time for that, the politicians must have all the other minor problems sorted.
