Sir, – While the original cost estimate of the Dublin metro project was €3 billion, this has now ballooned to €10 billion. Meanwhile, according to “Consultants appointed to oversee delivery of metro project” (Business, August 22nd), it will now be 2035 before it is up and running, and God only knows what these same consultants are going to be paid!
I suppose it would be too much to ask Transport Infrastructure Ireland to give us an update on this not insignificant matter! – Yours, etc,
