Sir, – I understand now why the take-up of the second booster might be less than expected.
I am in my seventies and delayed getting the second booster because I had Covid in April. I made a number of phone calls yesterday to get an appointment. My GP practice said they had stopped doing them, I could get no appointment from the HSE online, and five of the pharmacies on the HSE list could not accommodate me for reasons varying from being booked up, to staff holidays and one had not received an adequate supply of vaccine.
I will keep trying but surely it should be easier to get an appointment? – Yours, etc,
