A report in last Thursday's paper attributed to Belgian prosecutors remarks about the relationship between Belgian and Irish authorities involved in the investigation into the death of eight stowaways in Wexford.
The person quoted is not, in fact a representative of the Belgian prosecutor's office and his remarks do not reflect the views of the Belgian authorities. The Irish Times apologises for this error.
