Two men have died and three people been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Co Kildare last night.
The men aged in their 40s and 50s were travelling in a car that collided with another vehicle on the Moyvalley to Longwood Road at 8.15pm. The men were both pronounced dead at the scene and their bodies removed to Navan Hospital.
The three occupants of the other car - a man, a woman and a 1-year-old child - were taken to Tallaght hospital where their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The incident happened at Lally’s Cross, Ballinakill, Broadford approximately three kilometres from Longwood.
