Three men have been arrested following an armed robbery at a jewellers in Co Meath.
The incident happened at about 4.50pm when three men entered the shop on Emmett Street in Trim.
They left with a quantity of jewellery after assaulting the owner, a male in his 70’s.
Gardaí responding to the robbery arrested one male outside the shop and the other two were detained a short time later.

An imitation firearm was recovered.
The shop owner was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital in Drogheda for treatment.
The men arrested in connection with the incident are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Trim and Kells Garda stations.
