Medan - Hundreds of Indonesian students set tyres on fire yesterday to block the road outside their university in a protest against President Suharto. Security forces drove them back onto the campus with tear gas.
Students at St Thomas Catholic University took protested as the campus at the heart of recent anti-Suharto demonstrations fell silent a day after it was closed down.
