There is strong speculation that at least one Bruce Springsteen concert in Nowlan Park, Kilkenny, will be announced this morning.

The announcement of a “mystery artist” will be made on 2fm’s Breakfast with Hector programme, which will be broadcast from the Langton House Hotel in Kilkenny.

Springsteen has already announced three gigs for Ireland this summer, in Limerick’s Thomond Park (July 16th), Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork (July 18th) and the Kings Hall Arena in Belfast on July 20th. They are all sold out.

His last European date of the tour will be in Cardiff on July 23th, which may give him scope to play another Irish concert, with Friday, July 26th, being mooted as a possible date or Saturday, July 27th. The plans may involve two concerts, each with a 20,000 capacity.
