Dún Laoghaire based Rapid Technology said today that licence income in the six months to December 31st, 2000, dropped to £19,000 from £230,000.

The company said that this was because the licensing arrangements entered into as part of its acquisition of software company Screenkey have expired.

"There was also a significant increase in the gross margins achieved on turnover to 51 per cent from 31 per cent, said chairman Mr Pat McDonagh.

The pretax loss fell to £786,000 from £805,000 a year earlier on turnover of £706,000, up from £197,000.
