Rugby:Paul O'Connell and Rory Best have both been ruled out of Ireland's summer tour to New Zealand and Australia due to injury.

Munster lock O'Connell has been plagued by a troublesome groin injury, while Ulster hooker Best had been struggling with an ankle injury. Neither player has recovered sufficiently to be considered available for selection.

Uncapped Leinster hooker John Fogarty has been called into the squad to replace Best, while another uncapped player, Ulster lock Ed O'Donoghue, comes on board to take O'Connell's place.

The inclusion of Fogarty and O'Donoghue brings the number of uncapped players in the 33-man squad to five.
