Mexico City - US ranchers shot dead a Mexican who crossed illegally into the United States, the third such killing in recent months, the Mexican consul in Eagle Pass, Texas, said yesterday.
The shooting, which occurred in Bracketville, Texas, was reported even as senior Mexican and US officials held talks in Washington. Notimex agency quoted Consul Jorge Espejel as saying the alleged killer and his wife appeared before a judge and were released on bail.
