Gardai in Co Kerry are investigating a hit-and-run accident in which a 58-year-old man was killed at Castleisland on Sunday. The man was walking along the road at Tonbwee at about 10.30 p.m. when the incident occurred.
In Co Clare, a rear-seat passenger in a car was killed when it collided with another car in Lahinch on Sunday. The man was removed to Ennis General Hospital, where he died later.
