The Irish Times is looking for an experienced Account Manager with a strong Business to Business background.
The successful applicant will be responsible for maximising advertising sales revenue across all Irish Times channels/products. He/she will liaise and nurture relationships with clients and have the ability to plan and maximise client campaigns and budgets.
The individual should have experience in presenting directly to clients and agencies and in-depth knowledge and experience in digital sales. They will be expected to be at ease with presenting directly to brands and should have a proven track record of such. The role is suited to an analytical thinker, who is commercially driven.
Candidates should have excellent collaboration and communication skills. A proven ability to create commercial opportunities and meet targets is essential. A strong business network is also a key requirement for this position. An interest and passion for The Irish Times brand, a thorough understanding of digital and a good knowledge of the media market, including social media, are important.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales across all platforms, a flexible working style and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. He/she will demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, have effective time management skills and an adaptable approach to a fast-changing media environment.
