A 43-year old man has died in an incident which occured just outside of Cavan town earlier today.
The incident happened at about 3.50pm at Beaghy, Stradone, which is approximately 4 miles outside of Cavan town.
A man was taken to Cavan General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The road is currently closed pending completion of an examination by forensic investigators. The road is expected to reopen to traffic later this evening.
