The Minister for Finance Brian Lenihan is to meet with Denis Casey, the chief executive officer of Irish Life & Permanent this afternoon.
Mr Lenihan said earlier today a transaction between Irish Life and Anglo Irish Bank “wasn’t desirable” and may have created a “false impression” about Anglo Irish’s deposit base.
