A Louth man has pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to murder.

Kenneth Cunningham (30), Castletown Road, Dundalk, denies murdering Laurence Garvey (59), at Patrick Street, Dundalk, on December 24th, 2003.

Jury sworn in for child porn trial

A jury has been sworn in at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for the trial of a solicitor for having child pornography on a computer.

Eugene Fanning (55), Ailesbury Road, Ballsbridge, has pleaded not guilty to having a pornographic image between January 29th, 2001, and February 27th, 2002.

Garda denies theft from car compound

A retired garda who denies stealing two vehicles from a Garda compound is to go on trial at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

John (Ben) Mulvihill (53), Rathmolyon, Co Meath, has pleaded not guilty to stealing a Mitsubishi Colt in 2002 and a Ford Transit van between December 2002 and February 2003.

A jury has been sworn in at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for the trial of a man for failing to make tax returns in over three years.

Christopher Griffin (37) of Ridgewood Green, Swords, has pleaded not guilty.
