IT may sound odd but Italian researchers think that they can diagnose Alzheimer's by looking at the patient's hair. In the Lancet, Dr Guiseppe Bruno and colleagues wrote that sufferers develop certain characteristic abnormalities in their hair, which include swollen and/or twisted lengths of hair. Three quarters of the children of Alzheimer's patients also showed these changes.
