A man has narrowly escaped an attempt on his life after a masked gunman riddled his lorry with bullets in Derry.
The shooting occurred as the man was sitting in his vehicle in the Waterside area of the city. The attack was blamed on loyalists.
The attacker fired a number of shots toward the man, smashing the windows of his cab. Despite being severely shocked by the incident, the man was able to drive away.
He was not injured in the attack.

Police are still trying to establish a motive for the shooting.
It is the second attack in the Waterside area in recent times. Ten days ago, SDLP councillor Mr Gerald Diver and his wife and four children escaped injury after a pipe bomb exploded at their home.
