Gardaí are investigating the activities of a psychiatric nurse whom they believe to be a serial child abuser.
This evening, RTÉ radio reported that gardaí believe that over a number of years, the 57-year-old man abused a large number of children in Dublin, Cork, Waterford, Kilkenny, Sligo and Limerick.
A garda spokeswoman confirmed to ireland.comthat a man has been arrested and is currently before the court.
