Firebombs were planted under three cars in Co Antrim today.

British army experts dealt with the incendiary devices, one of which partially ignited, in Randalstown. Two vehicles were targeted in the Old Staffordstown Road area.

One car was damaged when the bomb, described as crude by police, flared.

Meanwhile, another device was found burnt out under a car parked at a house in the Whelan Park area of the town. Detectives in Antrim have appealed for witnesses to come forward.
