Dublin city pub damaged in overnight fire

A city centre pub has been damaged and a man in his twenties injured in separate overnight fires in Dublin.

Part of the rear of SoSuMe on South Great Georges Street was damaged in a fire that required six units of the Dublin Fire Brigade to bring under control. There were no injuries.

That part of the pub had been closed for renovation. Gardaí are investigating how the fire started.

In Tallaght a man (20) was taken to hospital in Dublin after suffering burns to his hands, face and neck in a house fire. He is being treated in Tallaght Hospital where his condition is said to be not serious.
