The registry for Ireland's dot.ie domain names has announced a 20 per cent reduction for new registrations from the beginning of next year.
The IE Domain Registry (IEDR) said the move was a result of a high growth rate of registrations, now standing at over 54,000, which has been driven largely by the buoyant economy and the national roll-out of broadband.
IEDR chief executive David Curtin said the company remained committed to giving consumers value for money.
