London - The British Foreign Secretary, Mr Robin Cook, said yesterday that an independent inquiry into the arms-to-Africa affair was likely to uncover little more than what he had already told parliament.

Giving evidence to the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr Cook also said he expected the inquiry, conducted by Sir Thomas Legg, to clear ministers of connivance in the supply of arms to Sierra Leone.
