The bank bail-out hasn't worked and with Nama officially devaluing all property in the state by 47 per cent, there is no prospect of being able to get a top-up loan against property for the next 10 years. – SMcG

They rip people off and basically have no conscience. They only leave you their mobile number and are accountable to no one. It's time that things were changed and more official controls put in place along with rigorous training. It is an absolute scandal what goes on in this country. – WM Doyle

Food waste on flights:On the flights that are not low cost and that last more than an hour, a meal and a snack are served on trays in various plastic containers wrapped in plastic. Nearly nobody refuses them. Some might not be hungry, but they accept them hoping to find something to their taste. A lot of people smell the food or taste a little bit, others eat something, only a few eat everything. On long distance flights almost two complete meals are served, one after take off and the other before landing. Is all this food really necessary? – Ruggero Da Ros
