Pact with goodness: Buying organically has become that little bit more affordable thanks to Aldi's decision to move into the wholesome market.

Aldi's 33 Irish stores will be selling a new selection of organic products including extra virgin olive oils, a range of low-cost teas and coffees and vegetable juice. It's unclear how long Aldi's commitment to conscientious consumption will last but it has promised the organic foods will be available for "a number of weeks".

The European Commission is asking Irish people who have been ripped off by timeshare scams to get in touch as it steps up efforts to close legislative loopholes. While existing laws protect timeshare buyers by ensuring they receive proper information about properties and are given a 10-day cooling-off period before any money is handed over, some unscrupulous traders have found ways to circumvent the law.
