Cameroon 0 Gabon 1:Cameroon slumped to a surprising 1-0 defeat by neighbours Gabon in their opening African Nations Cup Group D game today.

Striker Daniel Cousin netted the Panthers' winner in the 17th minute when he coolly slotted home after being perfectly set up by Roguy Meye.

No team qualified for this year's World Cup finals have won a game at the Nations Cup so far with Cameroon, Algeria and Nigeria losing their opening matches and Ivory Coast being held to a draw.

Cameroon will play Zambia and Gabon take on Tunisia in their next games on Sunday.

Zambia and Tunisia failed to take advantage of Cameroon's shock defeat as the two nations had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Lubango.

The Zambians will be most disappointed not to have got off to a winning start after largely dominating the game and seeing a late header from substitute Emmanuel Mayuka ruled out for offside.

Zambia took the lead in the 19th minute when Jacob Mulenga unselfishly played the ball back to James Chamanga in the box and his weak shot dribbled under Aymen Mathlouthi and into the net.

Tunisia equalised out of nowhere in the 39th minute, Souheil Dhaoudadi slamming a cross by Youssef Msakni into the roof of the net.
