Arafat, Peres and Mubarak meet for lunch

Formentor - The Palestinian Authority President, Mr Yasser Arafat, Israel's Foreign Minister, Mr Shimon Peres, and Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak had an informal lunch in Mallorca yesterday, hosted by Spain's Prime Minister, Jose Maria Aznar, writes David Horovitz. Mr Peres has assured his prime minister, Mr Ariel Sharon, that he would not enter substantive talks with Mr Arafat in Spain this weekend, where both are attending an economic conference. Israel is said to be weighing a troop withdrawal from Ramallah, one of five West Bank cities it has partially reoccupied for more than two weeks.
