Paris - A French appeals court yesterday rejected a request by the billionaire businessman, Mr Mohammed al Fayed, to revive criminal charges against news photographers over the deaths of Princess Diana and his son Dodi Fayed.

The Paris panel, composed of three judges, upheld a ruling by a lower court last year that the nine paparazzi and one photo agency motorcyclist bore no legal blame in the death of the couple.
