The Aer Lingus chief executive Mr Michael Foley tonight rejected a report which found against him in an inquiry into alleged sexual harassment.
The report was conducted by a sub-committee of the Aer Lingus board which has been empowered to take whatever action it decides is necessary.
The airline confirmed in a statement that the report has been submitted this afternoon to the airline's chairman, Mr Bernie Cahill.
A statement issued on behalf of Mr Foley said the findings of the report were "not favourable".
The statement continued that there were "many inconsistencies and conflicting evidence" in the sub-committee's report. "Arbitrary, selective and subjective use of evidence" and "deviation from the substantive elements of the allegations" were also alleged in the statement.
