Zante - Greek port authorities said yesterday all 714 illegal immigrants found on a broken-down Turkish ship earlier in the week have been temporarily allowed onto Greek territory.
The group is comprised mainly of Kurds from Iran, Iraq, and Turkey. The boat they were travelling on, the Brenler, was towed to port on Monday after breaking down in a storm in the Ionian Sea.
