One Dutch masterpiece is a pleasure, two a treat, but three is just spoiling us

One Dutch masterpiece is a pleasure, two a treat, but three is just spoiling us. A new exhibition opens at the National Gallery today, featuring three of the finest paintings from the 17th-century Delft school.

Vermeer, Fabritius De Hooch: Three Masterpieces from Delftdoes what it says on the tin, with Pieter de Hooch's The Courtyard of a House in Delft, Carel Fabritius's The Goldfinch and Johannes Vermeer's Lady Writing a Letter with her Maid (left), one of the most prized masterpieces in the gallery's collection. The exhibition runs until May 24th, and is free.
