Christmas wish list 2021: the best beauty products, according to the experts

Tara Anderson and Jennifer Rock share their Christmas beauty must-haves

Tara Anderson, aka @Taramakeup, talks us through her ultimate Christmas wish list for 2021. . .

"For Christmas this year, I'd love some gorgeous skin pamper products. I have been using the new body range from Max Benjamin; it contains the most amazing skin-loving ingredients and also smells like lavender, so is so nice to use before bed. I always love the beauty advent calendars, too. Charlotte Tilbury, YSL Beauté and Armani always do something along the lines of a Christmas advent calendar and it's a nice pre-Christmas treat for a beauty lover like me.

“I am a big fan of perfumes, so to receive a new one would be nice. I love a masculine scent, and YSL launched an amazing new one this year, Le Vestiaire Wild Leather. I adore nothing more then a bit of self-care and ‘me’ time so a voucher for a treatment is always on my wish list as well. Eavanna Breen in Akina, Allure Beauty & Spa and Norma Jean in The Room for hair are my go-to spots.”

Skin expert, beauty entrepreneur and influencer Jennifer Rock, also known as The Skin Nerd, shares what she’d love to find wrapped up under her tree this year. . .

“For Christmas this year I’d love to be gifted a pamper session at Eden One spa in Dublin, which is two floors of pure decadence. It’s a unique, urban escape with chic, modern interiors and commodities including a fire and water floor equipped with a thermal salt relaxation room and a garden floor, which features a panoramic courtyard view sauna. Customer care is particularly detail-orientated, which I love, and there’s a warm and inviting atmosphere, so you immediately feel comfortable. For me, receiving a facial and full body massage offers a sense of true self-care. It allows me to decompress physically and mentally, while wondering what products and moves are being applied, of course!

“And if Santa is feeling generous, I would also like an Amanda Harrington tan to add a healthy glow to my winter skin. The ingredients and colours are natural and I admire the ‘tantouring’ technique that she uses, which combines contouring and tanning to define the face and minimise the need for makeup. Alternatively, a nuFACE Trinity would be amazing. This is a facial toning device that uses micro-currents to stimulate large areas of skin on the face and neck, and works to tone the facial contour and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It provides three ways to treat the skin – muscular, lymphatic, and textural. I believe in all three and so consider it a worthy investment!”
