Why would girls study Stem if they have no career path afterwards?

Despite decades of concern about attracting girls into science, technology, engineering and maths (Stem), there is still no clear career path to encourage them to do so.

Huawei Ireland has opened its €250,000 scholarship fund for third-level students studying science, technology, engineering and maths at Irish universities.

Dutch ecology professor Matthijs Schouten has a unique understanding of Irish bogs and the transformational changes in how they have come to be viewed, understood and used in the past few decades.

I‘m sure Jake Daniels, the teenage footballer for Blackpool who came out as gay last week, didn’t envisage his career as being one of an accidental activist. I would imagine he just wanted to play. But activism, so often, comes to people, rather than them gravitating towards it.
