A greengrocer's assistant, resident in Blackrock, Co Dublin; held the rank of Captain at the time of his arrest; previously fought in Jacob's Garrison in Easter Week 1916, under Thomas Mac Donagh; arrested after Bloody Sunday and charged with the murder of Lieutenant Aimes; strongly protested his innocence.
