Several big names on the Irish music scene are gearing up to play a special charity gig in Dublin tonight. The second Barretstown “Inspirations” gig will take place at the Olympia Theatre, and will see a bevy of musicians covering songs by artists that have inspired them. David Gray will be playing some Springsteen tunes, Paddy Casey will be taking on Prince, while The Duckworth Lewis Method will be covering a song by ELO.

Also playing are Villagers, Jape, Mundy, Jerry Fish, Vengeance the Panther Queen and more. “When I was asked to join the line up, I jumped at the opportunity,” said Mundy. “Ive been aware of the charity for years and the great difference that it makes to these brave children. Theres a great line-up of music on the night, and I cant wait for it. “

The gig will also be streamed live on muzu.tv/ inspirationslive. And don’t forget to donate at barretstown.org.
