What you've found . . .

Niall O'Reilly, a reader from Ballinteer in south Dublin, got in touch about the price of replacement heads for his electric toothbrush.

In Galeria Kaufhof in Düsseldorf he paid €18.95 for five Braun Oral-B heads, in a five-for-the-price-of-four offer. That makes the price per head 3.79 (normally €4.74).

Back in Dublin he paid €13.55 for two heads at Superquinn. That's a price per head of €6.78: 79 per cent more than Galeria Kaufhof's special-offer price and 43 per cent more than its regular price. Even allowing for distribution costs, it seems Irish consumers are getting poor value for money.
