It’s been a while coming – more than 50 years – but Ireland’s first permanent drive-in cinema opens tonight in Fota Retail Park, Carrigtwohill, Co Cork. Kicking off with some film about a juvenile wizard and his fatal hallows, the venue can cater for any vehicle under two metres tall. You simply pull into the space and tune your radio to the relevant frequency.
