REELNEWS:An odd controversy has sprung up in the aftermath of Jackassperformer Ryan Dunn's death in a car crash. The bearded prankster passed away when his Porsche hit a tree in Pennsylvania.

Unfortunately, just a few hours before the accident, Dunn had tweeted a photograph of himself drinking with pals.

Somewhat insensitively, Roger Ebert, the veteran critic, himself a Twitter addict, responded with the following post: “Friends don’t let Jackasses drink and drive.”

Not surprisingly, some observers felt Ebert’s condemnation was a bit premature. Perez Hilton, celebrity gossipmonger, was among the first to cry foul, but Ebert was having none of it.
